Samantha Ruppel
Trainer for Power Dynamics in Peace Work
Samantha Ruppel is a political scientist specializing in critical peace studies, with a focus on civil conflict transformation, power and partnership dynamics, and decolonial and feminist approaches. She is the co-founder of FEIN – Feminist-Intersectional Research and Consulting. In her work, she critically examines existing power structures and strives to dismantle historically rooted inequalities, aiming to reshape collaboration within organizations so that it becomes fair, humane, and equitable.
Since 2024, she has served as the Executive Director of the German Association for Peace and Conflict Studies (AFK) and as a researcher at the Peace Academy Rhineland-Palatinate. Previously, she led the project Shaping Futures: African-European Network on Development and Sustainability at the German Institute of Development and Sustainability.
