For those interested in peace and conflict work, we run orientation seminars several times a year. These provide insights into the work and fields of activity of the Civil Peace Service (CPS). CPS is the principal German policy instrument of public-civil society peacebuilding efforts in crisis and conflict contexts.

Working in Civil Peace Service

We discuss how the CPS is embedded and the fundamental concepts on which its work is based. Through direct exchanges with (former) CPS worker, among other things, you will learn how to get started and what everyday life in CPS can look like.

A broad range of careers

From human rights monitoring to setting up structures for dialogue and cooperation to dealing with the past or working with trauma: the work contexts and tasks of a peace and conflict consultant within Civil Peace Service are manifold. However, what they all have in common is close cooperation with local partner organisations. Whether you are a young professional or a career changer, civil conflict transformation and peacebuilding offers a broad range of career options for various professional paths.
