Dr. Friederike Repnik

Trainer for Dealing with the Past

As a consultant in Dealing with the Past and a moderator, Dr. Friederike Repnik supports church and civil society organizations worldwide in processes of overcoming violence and promoting peace. Her focus lies in creating spaces for encounter and dialogue that are attentive, structured, and impact-oriented.

Friederike brings many years of experience in international cooperation (as a development professional in Colombia), the Civil Peace Service (as interim coordinator in South Sudan and Ukraine, and as an advisor on Dealing with the Past), as well as in moderating events, conferences, and panel discussions. With a background in social work, cultural and religious studies, psychology, and trauma pedagogy, she combines practical expertise with academic depth. In recent years, her consulting work has focused primarily on contexts such as Colombia, Central America, the Great Lakes region, Sri Lanka, South Sudan, Liberia, Israel & Palestine, Bosnia, Cameroon, and Ukraine.

In 2025, together with Dr. Norman Mukasa, she co-founded be.dialogue, a consulting and training network focused on Dealing with the Past, interculturality and diversity, as well as institutional and societal transformation.
