Peace programming focuses on addressing key conflict driving factors or on addressing specific needs of the conflict affected communities. There are however, diverse themes or aspects that intersect peace programming and affect multiple stakeholders, sectors and project outcomes. Integrating cross-cutting themes into project/program design balances the need for clarity of focus with the need for broader coverage. Further, it helps increase the relevance and effectiveness of interventions, as well as possibly reaching a much wider impact.
This block course offers three cross cutting themes that could be relevant to all contexts, and that are applicable not only in peace programming but also humanitarian and development project/ program design. The cross-cutting themes are organized in three modules namely: Steering Stakeholder Processes (4 days), Conflict Sensitivity (4 days), and Environment, People and Conflict (4 days).
These trainings can also be booked separately. As these two trainings complement each other we are offering a 10% discount when they are booked together.
