Caleb Gichuhi

Trainer for Social Media and AI in Peace and Conflict

Caleb Gichuhi is an ICT4D specialist dedicated to applying advanced technology to address violent conflict. As the Africa Lead at Build Up, he manages digital conflict, digital platform governance, and depolarization projects across the continent. He also teaches data analytics for sustainable peacebuilding at the United Nations Systems Staff College (UNSSC) in Turin, Italy. With over 10 years of experience, Caleb works at the intersection of technology and peacebuilding globally. He is recognized as a Yale Peace Fellow, a Chevening Fellow, and a Community Solutions Program Fellow (US State Department/IREX). Caleb serves on the board of PeaceRep at the University of Edinburgh and is a member of the Hub for the Study of Hybrid Communication in Peacebuilding. His central motivation is helping others realize how everyday tech tools can play a key role in addressing violent conflict in their communities.
