Foundations of Peacebuilding and Community Dialogue Processes

Nevena is an experienced trainer in peacebuilding, conflict transformation, dialogue, and human rights. Since 2017, she has been working as a trainer and educator with a wide range of local and international organizations, universities, and institutions. Working both in-person and online settings, she has been engaged with diverse groups, with a strong focus on working in and with various conflict-affected communities.

She holds an M.A. in Peace and Security Studies, where her research explored dialogue as a tool for grassroots reconciliation. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D., focusing on the role of civil society in the bottom-up peacebuilding processes.

One of the core ideas that guides Nevena’s work is: “Peace is a revolutionary idea, our job is to expand it in scope and domain.” For her, this expansion begins with education. By educating ourselves and others, we give humanity the opportunity to meet its better self.

Nevena is a proud member and trainer of the Youth Peace Ambassadors Network, where she shares her expertise and passion for transforming conflicts through peaceful and nonviolent means.  She has a strong commitment to nonviolence, both in her professional work and personal life. Finally, Nevena firmly believes in the power of empathy and human relationships as a driving force for building peace.
